The Highland High School Band program has a long tradition of providing a top quality music program. Over 350 students participate in our performing ensembles including multiple levels of Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, Percussion Ensembles, a Woodwind Choir, Winterguard, all female GALium Jazz ensemble, and a Division I/AAAA Marching Band. Highland’s Band program is recognized as a top tier program in the State of Arizona. Highland competes in numerous Arizona Band and Orchestra Director Association (ABODA )festivals throughout the school-year as well as Arizona Marching Band Association (AZMBA) during the fall semester. Our ensembles performed at many venues, including Ellington Jazz Festival, Southern California Concert Band Festival, Eastern Arizona College Festival, and Marching Band competitions and AMEA performances across Arizona and our own Concerts and annual Jazz Festival.

Our band student community includes excellent musicians, high academic achievers, and school leaders. Skills learned in music education help our students to achieve success in their future endeavors. As school district financial support of the arts has decreased, it has become increasingly expensive for our families to participate in our band program. Students that acquire sponsorships of $500 or more earn a 20% commission that goes directly to their participation costs.
The Highland Band Boosters help generate funds for the Highland Band program to operate at a high level of excellence. In order for the program to continue at such a high level of excellence, we need sponsors like YOU! Thank you for your consideration.
