The Highland/ASU Jazz Festival is dedicated to educate and
inspire students, educators, and audiences; and
to enhance the appreciation and importance of jazz education.
This Festival will provide:
- Unbiased clinics, ratings and/or rankings by professional clinicians from around the country.
- An organized performing and clinic environment.
- Performances will be professionally audio & video recorded by Mouse Recording.
- High quality performances from top musicians in the Jazz Industry.
- 20+ Master Classes from area jazz educators for students and teachers.(Professional Growth Certificates Available)

Tom Birkner - Trumpet/Vocal - Director of Jazz Bands and Trumpet at Southwest Illinois College
Tito Carrillo - Trumpet - Professor of Music and Jazz Studies at University of Illinois
Katie Ernst - Bass/Vocal - Professor of Jazz Ensembles and Jazz Bass at Wheaton College
Matt Olson - Saxophone - Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies at Furman University
Michael Wilkinson - Trombone - Assistant Professor of Trombone at University of South Carolina
